Dr. John McManaman
Co-Founder

Dr. John McMananman is a Co-Founder and Chief Orthodontic Officer at Canadian Orthodontic Partners.  Dr. McManaman provides leadership to the network of doctors in all of our clinics and oversees the clinical strategy of the organization.  Dr. McManaman, a native of Moncton, New Brunswick, founded our ‘Original 5’ Docbraces locations. John’s dream of Canada-wide growth is being realized through Canadian Orthodontic Partners.

Dr. Bob Hatheway
Co-Founder

Dr. Bob Hatheway is a co-founder and the Chief Clinical Officer at Canadian Orthodontic Partners. Dr. Hatheway began practicing orthodontics with his father, Dr. Donald Hatheway, in 1996. He received degrees from the University of New Brunswick, Dalhousie University, and The University Of Toronto. He is the President of the New Brunswick Dental Association; a member of the Canadian and American Associations of Orthodontics; and sits on the World Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Hatheway served as the 2007 President of the Canadian Association of Orthodontics.

Dr. Jason Tam
Director, Patient Experience

Dr. Jason Tam, born and raised in Toronto, built a network of Orthodontic practices serving multi-cultural communities across the GTA. Dr. Tam is one of the country’s most respected doctors, having taught Invisalign internationally, lectured on practice management, and had his treatments published in peer reviewed journals. He works with our doctor network to help implement systems designed to improve the patient experience as well as clinical efficiency.

Regional Director, Doctor Development (Western Canada)

Dr. Harfield supports our Western Canada doctors with professional development. With more than 25 years of experience, Dr. Harfield works with our doctors in the transition from private practice to joining the COP network and mentors the continuous improvement of service quality.

Dr. Mariam Haroun
Ambassador, Residents & Young Orthodontists

Dr. Haroun is responsible for developing and fostering relationships with the resident orthodontists in Canadian and American Orthodontic programs. She maintains connection with all of COP’s young doctors, and fosters mentorship with senior doctors in the network.

Dr. Angelos Metaxas
Director, Treatment Planning Support

Dr. Metaxas uses his extensive clinical and teaching experiences to assist our entire doctor network in the diagnosis and treatment planning for complex orthodontic problems. Through a virtual private network, doctors are able to review cases, either pre-treatment or during treatment, and utilize the clinical expertise of Dr. Metaxas to assist in problem-solving for their case in question.

Safe, Healthy Smiles for All of Our Patients

Like so many of you, our teams across the Canadian Orthodontic Partners network are busily preparing to get back to work as each province announces the reopening of dental and orthodontic practices following the widespread COVID-19 closures. We are thrilled that, in some areas, we are finally able to slowly begin welcoming our patients, who have been waiting for many weeks to be seen in our clinics.
